It's so wonderful to hear about the way in which you're transforming; all your set ideas about everything mutating and needing to be reexamined. It's fascinating and moving.
for the record, people w/o children don't necessarily mind hearing "amusing stories about poop and spit-up." maybe you're just not talking to the right people.

no. and that's the really weird part. none of this needs to get done and each piece is adding to shrinking niches. one of the ways i reconciled this was working with the artist's way: that art deserves to be created for its own sake, that self-expression doesn't need an excuse or even an audience.
