[Filtered to Teachers]

These murders are hitting too close to home. I've been picking up the Muggle Newspaper to stay updated and... I don't like how this is going. Can we really ignore this for so long?

As teachers is it our duty to protect out student, and instruct them in such a way that they are able to defend themselves should the time come.

Sadly there is not much else we can do.

I just can't help but feel helpless. Every person that gets killed could have a family; children, parents... It's so frustratrating that these people haven't been stopped.

It is hard, I don't much like it either.

All we can do is hope, I guess.

Something like this can't be ignored, definitely not.

However, I believe in Professor Dumbledore. We have two weeks left until the new school year starts, everyone will be safe then.

We'll be safe, but I can't help but think it's unfair for those who aren't able to say the same.

I know there's nothing we can do; taking any kind of action would be even more reckless, but it's still sad when you think about it. I know what it's like to lose loved ones to things like this.

It may seem insincere when I put it like this, but I'm very certain it feels like the end of the world.

I've been...praying. I may not be able to do anything else, but I can pray no one else has to suffer losses like that.

It... gets better. But when things like this happen, it brings back a lot of bad memories. It's definitely not easy.

But you've got the right idea. I suppose praying is the best we can do right now.

Who's ignoring it? It seems like the entire country is up in arms, to me.

The murders keep happening and the muggles can't protect themselves.

But I meant more in the school, about what we can do, which obviously isn't much. I know we have to keep face for the sake of the of the students, but it's not always so easy.

No, you don't. You're insulting their intelligence by doing so, they know that things are dangerous.

You'd rather we told them to live in fear? To keep their wands ready at all times, because we can't protect them?

I... do not think we are ignoring matters completely. It might seem like we are, as we're trying to shelter and protect the students as best as we are able, but... are we not preparing them to face this by teaching them?

At least, I'd like to think that way. So they are able to protect themselves when we are not, so they are able to protect their loved ones, who we cannot.

Yes, I know, I just wish we could do more, sometimes. [ And it's personal for Thobari, so... ]

Yes... but doing what we can is better than doing nothing, I think. [So he gets that sort of almost-pep talk from Ivan wherein he's trying to convince himself he's doing good too, despite not knowing any personal reasons of the other.]

That's true. We'll have to just do as much as we can.

If you have some suggestions for ignoring it less than we have to, I'm all ears.

It's hard to say... As teachers, our hands are tied. If anyone should be doing anything, it's Dumbledore, but he hasn't said anything about it in a while...

If anything, just something we could arrange or plan . . . I'm not sure.
