Last tuesday, I went to the dentist in the morning, and then I took Molly to an animal hospital in Gorham in the afternoon. It's insane how hard it was to find a vet that actually knows something about small animals. I brought her in the cat carrier, for lack of anything else cage-like, comfortable, and carryable. When the receptionist lady was asking me all kinds of questions, she asked "What kind of kitty is Molly?" It was kind of funny. Dr. Burleigh H. Loveitt examined her, and said she was just starving to death, and very malnourished. But he concluded with stating, "you know, there's a good chance she may die." He chopped off her bottom teeth and gave me a bottle of vitamins to feed her daily.

Ever since then, my sister and I have been feeding her Ensure, water, and her vitamins from a dropper several times a day, as well as a little nutri-cal stuff that's really made for cats and dogs. I don't understand how, with all the rats that are used for experiments, it seems as though hardly any one has taken the time to make products, especially medicines, specifically for rats. That really pisses me off.

I called the vet back on friday morning, as he suggested I do. Up until about 3 or 4 that morning, I was really thinking I was going to have to put her to sleep. But for whatever miraculous reason, after holding her while I watched Peter Gabriel videos and The Little Prince, I went to feed her with the dropper and instead she wanted to gnaw on a crunchy cheese wedge treat thingy. I took that as a sign she was going to get better. Slowly, she is getting better. She's trying to eat her own food, and she can walk a little bit. Her eyes are wide open and clearing up too.

yet another try at taking a picture with my sister's crappy computer camera thing:

She is the sweetest little thing, and I love her dearly. <3

Ah. But other than that, I've done nothing interesting except work. Work is always interesting. I have now closed the store allll by myself once and opened the store allll by myself once. It's fun. But the customers are getting more annoying. Some are still really cool. But the holiday season is bringing in more of those people who believe that people who work at stores are stupid, inhuman, robotic machines.

The Contemporary Women Writers class I signed up for is already cancelled.

I've planned to see The Incredibles several times, but it has not worked out yet.

My special order for The Fakes: "Real Fiction" came in yesterday! Kathleen Hanna is so fucking cool.

Instead of getting my car an oil change on my long awaited day off, I think I'm going to try to finish dealing with my schedule for the spring semester and then watch I Shot Andy Warhol. Because I still can't sleep, even when I have a few hours to do so.

ps: VACATIONLAND BROKE UP??! that is so sad :(

Even All Out breaking up isn't all that sad to me though, honestly. They were losing it anyway.
