So basically what your boss is saying is that the VP is held to a lower standard? Bet he says "nucular" instead of "nuclear", too.

What it boils down to is that they'd much rather have the easier task of replacing your position than to replace a head honcho position. It's SO hard to find good salad tossing VP's these days, dahling, you know that.
