You already know what I think of your writing, but have you thought about cross-posting these? Link them to a few communities and stuff, and see if you can get more feedback.

thanks so much! ~ chp. II's linked above, if you like, and that actually has more than two characters talking in it ;D ... well, still a lot of talking, i've always been a bit dialogue-happy in my writing (and i guess i like it that way :))

I love this. You're an excellent writer and this is a marvelous beginning.

I have only one small suggestion...

It's clear from your fic banner that you have actors in mind for the characters, so it would be helpful to me (and perhaps others?) if you'd list who you see in each role. (My sister and I do this even when people do know the actor, just to remind everyone. But it's especially nice when we're talking roles that haven't been portrayed on the big -- or small -- screen.)

I'd like to friend this journal, if that's okay -- and plan to add this to my Memories.

Ooh, cast is always tricky for me~ no one ever matches up to who i have in my head, but since I wanted to make a fanvid (and now banner!) for Fools, I was sort of keeping an eye out for Prewett-like characters... and that's when I stumbled across the Boondock Saints- all the pics I use for Gid & Fab are from that movie.

So, they're not really the way i pictured them while writing them, just the closest I could find after-the-fact, but the cast for the banner is:

Gideon Prewett: Sean Patrick Flanery

Fabian Prewett: Norman Reedus

Sirius Black: Taylor Kitsch (and the motorcycle in the banner, actually called a Black Dog. I found that ridiculously perfect :D)

Marlene McKinnon (who, like Sirius, is in the next chapter): Carey Mulligan.

Honestly, I can't really find a close match actress-wise for the Marlene in my head; but the picture worked for it.
