1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
SO much, I don't even know where to begin. In serious regards, played in a piano competition, started university, lived on my own. In social regards, this was definitely a year of firsts.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Last new years I was not in a state to think of resolutions.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, but my teenage cousin from Brantford just got pregnant (again) for her second child.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No. My parents separated though.

US, Chicago
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
Stability among my family and friends.
7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
April 13, 2005. This day turned my perspective of life completely around.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Competing in piano for the first time and winning Top Pianist in the Senior division in Sudbury, going to provincials in ARCT category and being happy with my performance. Gaining acceptance into a competitive piano performance program with scholarships, and learning Beethoven's Op110 Sonata.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Giving up on myself, losing motivation and drive to push myself.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Depression through the first months of the year.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My Saxophone!

i. happier or sadder? indifferent; throughout this year my relative sadness and happiness went through extremes
ii. thinner or fatter? unsure; I got significantly thinner when I was depressed, and now being at university I'm pretty sure I've gained most of it back
iii. richer or poorer? temporarily richer, thanks to OSAP, lol!

Celebrating being home! Visitng everybody I've missed over the last 4 months! Eating non-dininghall food and not having to wear flipflops in the shower!

My 18th birthday was severely depressing. I spent the day by myself at home-my mom was ill. Nobody called me, not even my father.
