I totally agree with your political views lol. And I also had a very good performance in class today. Charlene said that I am now at a higher technical level than Steven was last year... And his fingers could fly! It was the best compliment I have ever heard!
I meant to write the same technical level as Steven was lol but what ever, same issue. Considering when I came to Cambrian I was a Grade 5 lol. My recital is going to consist of: Beethoven Sonata Op. 14 No. 1 (complete); Scriabin Preludes Op. 11 Nos 10-15-16-24; 6 Ushebtis by Robert Lemay, Fratres for Piano and Violin by Arvo Part, Nocturne In Eflat major Op 9 no2 by Chopin, Bruyeres by Debussy, Prokofiev Visions Fugitives No 6, I think that is pretty much it...
That sounds like it's going to be a great program.. I wish I could be in town to hear it. It's so cool you're doing a work by prof. Lemay, and Scriabin--I just love his subtle melodies and his harmonies are delicious. And seriously, advancing from grade 5 to playing complete beethoven sonatas in under 3 years is soo commendable, be very proud of that.
PS.. I hold the opus 9 nocturnes very dear to me, no.2 I played as a choice piece for a piano exam a few years back, and no. 1 I played for Charlene when she let me audition for her, no. 3 I really want to learn...perhaps this summer..I haven't totally decided what I want to work on over the summer yet (though I'm sure I'll be assigned some stuff). Eventually, I really want to do a chamber music camp, at least some year before I graduate.
They're all corrupt. Layton has his past demons, too. The problem with the election is that all of the people running are politicians.
That said, I try to vote by platform. I hate Harper's platform and everything having to do with it. I fear a Conservative government. Liberal or NDP? Feh. Maybe I'll just vote Green Party.
I voted locally, as I didn't find out about the forms for voting by mail until it was past the deadline...
Unfortunately, all three ridings in St. John's/Avalon went conservative. 2/3 were incumbent, and the third replaced a former conservative MP. A vote is never wasted, though, as party funding is based on popular vote.
