I wonder if there really are COMPLETELY selfless acts in this world. Most people only perform good deeds to feel good about themselves or to impress someone else, which in turn makes THEM look good in the eyes of others.

How dispiriting.

Bah! I had this exact thought the other day, and I was working on that damn philosophy paper and i came upon it. Nietzsche says no, everything is a "will to power" everything we do is only to give ourselves more power to benefit us. Helping other: to make us feel good/reward us in the afterlife (or we think it rewards us)/gives us future rewards from that person, etc. Committing suicide: you think you will be happier/in a better place/hurt other people and thus be in power. Interesting stuff...

Answer.

I think that if you donate something like money or something and ask for no recognition then it would be pretty selfless, but I dunno,,, I couldn't even name someone who does that cuz well they dont get recognized lol
