What $5 can buy you at Warped tour

*12 buttons (although I lost my saves the day one in the crowd)
*7 cds
*50 stickers
*3 posters
*2 magazines

okay yeah, most this stuff was free.

Even though we had every intention of leaving Bako by 8 yesterday for warped we ended up not leaving til 9:30, got to Ventura a little after 11 and met Rachel and Jenny at the Vons there. We used the restroom and got some food. I went across the parking lot to Starbucks. Not the smartest move when I only had $18, but I didnt wanna risk a caffine headache later. I called Chris and he told me AOF was for sure playing, although he didnt know when. We finaly get back on Harbor and start making our way to warped tour. Traffic is HORRIBLE, but with everyone else going to Warped tour it made it a pretty intresting drive. Okay for those of you who have been to Venturas fair grounds, we made it almost all the way to the dirt lots before they told us there was no parking left and we needed to turn around and go back. Holiday Inn opened their parking garage for Warped which was kewl, but cost us $5 later...

Once we FINALLY got into warped (about 1:30) we went straight to the sign and wrote down times. We realized no one we wanted to see was playing til 2:30 so we had a little time to kill. Went over to the AOF booth. Kai, Aaron and Chris were there. Big hugs all around. Chris showed me his "neopolitian" arms, the pink was fading, but I still got the idea. Then he put his arm around my neck and told me for like the 3rd time how much he liked my new hair. This made a very happy Kaleena, especialy since I am still debating whether or not I even like it. We walked around looking at booths the went to watch Taking Back Sunday... here let me just list the bands I saw, would make it easier.

*Taking Back Sunday: we were so exited for them, but we were SO far away which made it pretty disappointing.
*Story of The Year: AMAZING live. Seriously. Usualy the "MTV" bands disappoint, but not SOTY. They were great. The whole crowd sang along to "Anythm of out dying day", which is kinda cheesy til I think about how awesome that must be for a band to hear
*Alkaine Trio: I think you all know how much I LOVE these guys. I pushed my way to about 4th row and waited impaitently for a half hour waiting. As soon as they come out the crowd was insain. Despite what I thought, people indeed CAN mosh to Alkaline trio. My boobs where geting smashed, I could barly breathe, and realized this was a bad idea. After like 2 songs I got out of there, yes, Kaleena crowed surfed for the very first time. Saw Dan right after I got to the side and ran and umped on him. Ha. Then I went to the other side and watched the rest of the set. I am in love. Matt Skiba. Man I could go on for hours!
*ARMY OF FRESHMEN: I must admit I was sad to miss NOFX, but my loyalties lie w/the boys. What can I say. Amazing as always. I dont think it will ever get old seeing them play. Chris was off the hook like always. It was a typical short warped tour set but it was awesome to see them again (in the place I first saw them!)
*The Matches: gotta love the bay area. They just keep seding me all this awesome music. Summer bought the cd and I must burn it soon. Theyre awesome.

I also caught a little of other bands while roaming. Yellowcard and New Found Glory. Watched like half of The Red West's set... and lots of bands I dunno the names of!! We walked around a lot, trying to aquire as much free crap as possible.

Me and Becca made our way back to the booth to say our goodbyes as the boys were leaving. Met Kate for the first time. She was very nice. Owens son is seriosly so adorable by the way... I was sad to say goodbye to them. Me and Kai determined we proly wont see them til like October. Break my heart. More hugs goodbye (I couldnt get enough) OH!! And just a warning, never call Dan Daniel. your toes will pay for it!... I KNOW how much he hates this, but it just slipped out...

We left early, went to Dennys, like last year they were under staffed and it was going to be an hour wait, so we went to Carrows instead. (This lead to Summer getting food posioning.) Me, Summer, Jenny, and Rachel then drove to Burbank and stayed at their friend Corys house. We pretty much went staight to sleep. Summer was up throwing up all nite though:( Sad. Hope she feels better soon...

So yeah, that was the summery of my day. I am now home, WAY tired, sunburnt, blistered, dehydrated,  and BROKE, but it was SO worth it!!

Rosi, Amanda, and Alyssa it was good seeing you. Rachel and Mike, I told Chris you said hi. ycfalloutgirl was that your painting hanging at the booth? Kristin, I think I saw you watching the Red West, in the front, but I wasnt sure...
