Deathly Hallows

I apologize if you liked it, but Deathly Hallows fell sorely, sorely short of my expectations, especially the epilogue.
Did anyone else feel this way?
P.S.: There are spoilers in the comments!

I was so disappointed in my Rowling. It also fell really far short of my expectations. To be honest, I've read fanfictions that close up the ending of the war better than that.

The epilogue seemed like it was fan fiction. And Harry, Ron, and Hermione all seemed to be the same character throughout the book, and the part about Griphook and the 546789999 days they spend in the tent were boring, there wasn't enough Luna/Neville/Hagrid, and...Half Blood Prince was just a better read, is my point, I guess.

Personally I thought she should have put more into the Gringotts bank scenes. It just seemed way too convinient that there was a dragon that just HAPPENED to be there and just HAPPENED to be blind. You know? And I agree, there wasn't enough of the other characters. It just went on and on with the tent -_- Also, the Ministry scenes were lame too. All-in-all, I was very disappointed. I mean, what happens to everyone else? And what happened to Voldemort's body? -_-

Yeah, exactly! I guess she described the futures of some of the secondary characters in better detail in an interview(the info can be found by looking up DH on Wikipedia), but a definite, conclusive ending is still...not there.

I never even thought about Voldemort's body! They probably fed it to the Thestrals, or gave it to the house elves to make Down With Voldy Pie for the students, or something.

I felt disappointed with the epilogue too..but I was satisfied with the book overall. Especially the part about Snape's past. That was the best part.

I agree, the revelation that Snape had been in love with Lily his entire life and that the doe that had guided Harry through the forest was his patronus were two of the most endearing parts.

I save icons as lj1, lj2, etc, so I get confused as to who they belong to. It's fixed.

Haha, yeah! I used to be able to just remember, but I've saved so many that I've started saving them by name. Anyway, yours are great, and thank you!
