These were taken around Killin and the Falls of Dochart
I had been there just in July with W and B and we were out in the middle of the falls standing on the rocks. But you couldn't get near this day - so much rain trickling down the mountains had the river flowing so quickly, anyone in it couldn't possibly have survived long.
My boys posing for the Mommy-required photo (they'll be glad I did this someday!)
Then we went upwards into the mountains. P likes hunting for gemstones and we were looking for smokey quartz (not stony blokes ::grin::). Found a few but these were some of the shots I took up there.
All my boys (in the absense of T, who, of course, stayed home to play video games - this is much more fun than playing video games!!)
This is son A bending down to drink water coming from the peat. This wouldn't be odd except for the fact that this child is so very picky about ANYTHING that he eats or drinks. I was so shocked seeing him do this!
This is Lochan Na Lairige. There's a National Trust walking trail there I want to take when it warms up a bit.
More snow capped mountains!
This is the Moirlanich Longhouse (note the opening hours on the sign, giggle). It was built in the mid-1800's and was home to at least three generations of the Robertson family, whose last member left the year I was born - 1968.
