He borders on annoying me and greatly intriguing/amusing me, but I've loved the episodes we've watched at uni and will be seeking out the others. It's history and culture and sass and tongue-in-cheek all in one.
We watched that too :-). I was drawn in, and Sem only had to correct them twice. He refuted the bit about the Druids ("there's no evidence there were Druids in Scotland, it's a handy name for them to call any kind of holy person or shaman they don't understand") and the part about the genocide ("there's absolutely no evidence of that!") in Orkney.
Other than that, the presenter is weirdly annoying and riveting at the same time, to me anyway. We decided that he would look about 20 years older if he cut off his hair. Which is probably why he doesn't :-).
But all in all I really enjoyed it (one last Sem-critique: "He'd be talking about one thing but walking around in the completely wrong place having nothing to do with where he was talking about"), and we'll be watching it again next week for sure!

I'm actually really impressed. I'm so crap at ironing I end up with wrinklier things than I had when I started. I usually just use wrinkle release :(
