Hinata had been coming along to see if Hayley wanted to go walking through the town with ice cream, as they'd discussed, but her good mood had quickly turned concerned when she realized that Hayley was crying.
She laid one hand flat on the cracked open door.
"Hayley," she said, managing to speak (hopefully) loud enough over Hayley's tears that she'd be heard, while sounding gentle. "It is Hinata. Maybe I come in?"
[And my SP is pretty much going to be limited to... this ping, until I get home. So around 5 CST omigod.]
Hayley sniffled, and looked up at the door. "Please do," she said, trying to get a grip. She was no longer in near hysterics, but she was still very sad about the whole thing.
She quickly tried to compose herself fully, so maybe Hinata wouldn't notice.

Her saying anything, well, in this case, just as unlikely. She pushed the door open and stepped inside, letting it fall closed behind her.
"Care for some company?" she asked, with a faint smile that did little to mask the concern in her eyes.
