[ Listen closely, citizens! It's coming from on a streetcorner, from outside the store where you're finishing up your grocery shopping, from just outside your apartment building (read: underneath your window): the sounds of music.
If you move closer, you'll find the noise clearing to individual instruments. There's a violin -- or what sounds like it should be a violin. But the strings are being played so harshly, it's questionable what the instrument really is. There's also a harmonica, buzzing around the strings, louder and more annoying than any sound you've heard. Every so often, when the first two wind down, rings out a little triangle. Two and a half hobos are playing in this horribly planned band throughout the City.
This, folks, is the real terror of not having a police force. Do you:
a) approach and speak
b) approach and beat
c) watch from afar
d) run and shout profanities at
e) give money to make them go away?
