She'd done her best to reassure him before he left, putting up a good front for her own worries. Dana didn't like to see him so worked up, stressed.
Work in itself had been normal at best, though Dana's eyes perhaps a bit more sharp for any familiar faces or suspicious looking people. But no, nothing eventful had happened that day other than getting a beer spilled on her.
Which was why she was just getting out of the shower when she heard the front door slam and her brother's panicked voice. Concern immediately washed through her and she was quick to grab a towel and wrap it tight about her as she went out to meet him.
"Sam? What--" She paused, taking in his features. It was always incredibly easy for her to read him, and right now, the look on his face made something clench deep in her stomach. "What's wrong?"

He didn't figure someone would set a fucking trap for them.
"Someone knows about us, Dana." He didn't know how else to say it. He looked at her, expression twisting up in worry and fuck-- how were they supposed to deal with this?
"This girl... this girl I hang out with, she's the one who did the spell. It was a damn trap, Dana."

"What--" She blinked, baffled. "A trap? Who is this chick? What are you talking about Sam?" Who did Sam know who could set up a trap like this, let alone know to in the first place? And he wanted to accuse her of knowing someone who did this to them.

"I guess she got suspicious and she wanted to be sure, so she... put that stupid damn spell on us. It was supposed to fade in a week, if we didn't do anything. She saw you leaving the apartment, she knows it couldn't have been anyone else." He didn't know what to do here.
"She's asked me out a couple times... I didn't tell you about it. I didn't think it was important." He hadn't been interested and he was sure Dana didn't tell him about all the numbers she probably got at work.
