OK~ if I can see through the tears in my eyes from the wonderful thing you said about Hailey~ Mortality sucks. There's no doubt about it~ and if it bothers me this much now, and you're saying it really kicks in about 15 years from now... ack. Forty, though, is not so much time if you think about it. My hope is to be where you are and be so comfortable in myself as you are by the end of my life, and you're only half way through~ I wouldn't worry so much about things unaccomplished~ dreams and goals change with the passing of time and as you learn more of who you are and what you really want. At the same time~ if your dying to bungee jump~ go for it! lol And as far as your maternal instincts are concerned~ your test case has been a success! lol Get yourself to the foster parent center and help another child with the care and love you've been kind enough to give Hailey.
