I too regularly end up with having to throw out bits n pieces from the fridge that somehow didn't get eaten before they went bad. Not often, but I still feel too much gets thrown away. Such a waste, not?

Do they mention why fruits/veggies should best be eaten within 2-3 days of getting them?

Because due to the long cycles of getting produce into the stores, the nutritional values deteriorate rapidly, and eating them as soon as you get them home gives you the best chance of getting the most nutrition.

Weird about the goals thing. You would think telling other people would make you more accountable to accomplishing them.
