Hommm yesterday was QUALITY. Bucko came over and we watched Wolf Creek which was pretty darn good. Then we went and played pool in town and I dragged him, Dave and Jack to the Forward, Russia! show in Reveal (an independent record shop in Derby and frankly, the best shop I've ever seen). Wolf Creek was SHIT! Nothing happened for aaaaaaaaaages and then it all happened at once and it was disgustingly gross just to make up for the fact that hardly anything had happened. And the ending was a bit rubbish too.
That is my humble opinion.
And hi, stop having a life please because you've forgotten all about me and I miss you :(

It wasn't the case of nothing happening, it was creating a sense of character so we actually care about the people. When I watch a horror film I don't want everything to start happening immediately, that's stupid. The introduction had some gorgeous camerawork as well. Also it wasn't even particularly violent. It was violent, yes, but not to excess. It's exploitation cinema so it's bound to stick to the slasher genre in terms of the level of violence. If it didn't people would be whining that it was too tame. It was a well shot horror film which definately makes a change and it actually created discomfort instead of being dull as fuck. Pah.
