If this = LJ, then yes. Modern America is being destroyed by short-form communications in which friendship and caring are expressed through frequent-but-nearly-contentless blipverts that would be considered annoying spam if it came from an unknown party. Regardless of the beneficial effect on the state of public discourse, the journal serves as a valuable archive of your own life. I am astonished by how little of my own life I remember, but now that I have years of journal under my belt, I have a valuable and searchable record that I've found an invaluable aid to memory.

looking back at my livejournal, I'm mostly embarrassed. "haha I'm funny oh god I'm so lonely someone go out with meeee". maybe that would be better lost to the aether. still, your use of the term "blipvert" makes me happy.

uh, dude, you're cool and all, but you realize my knowledge of you is based entirely on the fact that you were the boyfriend of the worst roommate I've ever had? did I really make that big an impression on you? (saying yes would sooth my ego)

You were opinionated, stuck to what you believed in and were not opposed to serious, unbiased debate. Those people are rare.

And, to be fair, she was one of the worst girlfriends I've ever had. ;)

I bet she was a worse roommate than girlfriend- how much money were you out by the end of it? with us, it was around $500 total, mostly from late fees on a cable bill she collected our money for and never paid in full. oh, and the anti-semitism, that wasn't fun.

p.s. I thought your observation of the true meaning of S&M as "being strapped to a fat chick" was pretty perceptive.
