Cowboy Night

Apr 23, 2008 15:41

WHO: Schuldig (colpevole) ; Axel (fireveins) ; those who show up (full list to come!)
WHAT: Cowboy Night!
WHERE: The Warrior Princess
WHEN: Friday night

WELCOME TO THE WARRIOR PRINCESS.

[ooc: Hey guys! This is an open thread, and the reason I'm putting it up now is so that everyone who wants to participate will have a chance to do so at their leisure, and work out all inter-house (and AMC) drama they want to. The way we've tried to work it is this: there are various sub-threads for different times of night so that your character(s) can run into someone they want to run into, or avoid someone they want to avoid! Also, hopefully, it will give more structure/backbone to the thread itself, especially since I hear tell there's going to be Some Kind Of Big Deal going down around midnight?

We welcome all guests, and if there are any questions about something in the bar, please feel free to contact either Axel or Schuldig, who will be your redheaded bartenders this evening. If you have any musical requests, feel free to slide them in. Since it's cowboy night, they'll be wearing cowboy boots and hats and playing the occasional cowboy-themed song, but your character does not have to come in costume unless they're the sort who would want to!

In terms of timeline, we can all assume that this thread happens Friday night-so if your character is in this thread, they are free still to post in journals, etc. for all the time that isn't Friday night. :D

So sit back, relax, and get ready to rumble! Feel free to order a drink-Schuldig and Axel are well-trained, but tonight there are a list of specials if you're looking for something brightly colored or set on fire or something.

And, most important of all, let's have some fun!]

The Warrior Princess was a relatively new establishment, which meant it was hard work getting regulars to realize they wanted to be regulars; that here was the place to be; that this was the bar to patronize. And yeah, Cowboy Night might not have been everybody's thing, but some people had to do things their own way. You had to make some noise to get people to listen, and not everyone was going to like it; but for making noise, there was probably no better team than Schuldig and Axel.

The bar itself was pretty fucking swank. The last place they'd worked had not been this swank by a long shot; it hadn't been anywhere near this size. The bar itself was long and pristine-no shots had been fired yet-and the wall of alcohol behind them was illuminated by the warm kind of neon lighting that made the entire setup look like an alien apothecary. There was no drink they couldn't make; no brand they didn't have.

As for decorating motifs... Well. It was never a good idea to let two stoners pick out architectural elements for the walls, because they were covered in chakram, and metalwork that looked a hell of a lot like a famous warrior princess's Amazon bustier.

The stools were designed to match, and they were silver and black-like the top of the bar-but they were comfortable, hopefully. This wasn't a pretzels and peanuts dive. And smoking was, of course, allowed. It had to be if you didn't want to murder business.

In the front, before patrons reached the bar, were the tables, small and round and oh-so-fucking-mod, surrounded by the low black couches-for sitting with an acquaintance, for getting into the music, for getting shit-faced and making out: you know, the usual.

The back, however, had the private booths-they were encircled by two-way mirrors and thin steel. Whoever was dining on the inside could talk business freely, all while looking out. And no one from the outside could see in. Also good for being promiscuous and not wanting to go all the way to a hotel or whatever. It wasn't all serious business in the booths-or at least, it didn't have to be.

Keep the customers satisfied.
