Okuni wasn't completely sure what she thought of the man who simply waltzed in and decided to first clean up Kokakuro and then hold a party there in the same day, but her initial impression was that he was just the sort of man she could enjoy spending her time with.

She pulled her hair back as she stepped into the place and took mental survey of the damage. "Hello?" she called out, trying to figure out who was here already.

Gipo heard someone call out and came out from the kitchen where he had been cleaning the food preparation surfaces. He liked to indulge in his cooking skills every now and then and was enthralled to have access to a professional kitchen.

He smiled when he saw the young woman who had been there earlier upset about the damaged restaurant.

"Ah so you did come. I'm happy to see you here."

As long as he stayed on the restaurant side of the business, Okuni would be polite to him. Her boss kept the other portion, the part she actually worked for, secret and she would keep that for him as much as possible. When he stepped out, she smiled warmly and offered her hand.

"My employer has been out of sorts lately, but I'm sure he'll be glad to see someone using this place for what should be a very good purpose. I am Okuni."

He smiled back at her and took her hand with a firm grip.

"It's not surprising that people would be out of sorts when an Earthquake affects their business." He had experienced much the same with his organization due to the recent volcanic eruption although he wasn't about to bring that issue into the conversation.

"Besides I have always found Solstice a good excuse for a wild party. Japaneses style will be different though. I go by Gipo."

Lulu arrived at the solstice party, dressed to thrill, as always--though she'd kept her ensemble a little more low-key this time in case there was still clean-up to do and anyone would let her lend a hand.

She was fashionaby late, but with Soiree and Rikku working overtime in the wake of the bombings and the quake, she refused to sit around twiddling her thumbs--and a solstice celebration was just her sort of thing.

Gipo noticed another young woman enter the restaurant. "Excuse me a moment ," he said to Okuni giving her a brilliant smile, "it seems I have another guest to greet. Please enjoy the party I will be back."

He walked over to the new guest and offered her his hand again with a brilliant smile lighting his face. "Welcome, I am your host, my name is Gipo, and what is your name lovely lady?"

Lulu smiled, accepting the proffered hand, and inclining her head--glancing up at him through dark lashes. She hadn't been out on the town in a while, but poise and charm were still like second nature.

"A pleasure to meet you, Gipo," she replied, "My name is Lulu."

Gipo was charmed by her dark features just as he had been captivated by Okuni. He didn't want to create a situation though so he asked, "Do you know Okuni? Perhaps we can all sit and talk for a while, or just people watch. I love to watch people arriving at a party. So much subtext in making an entrance you know." He winked at her.
