New onpaperfirst fic! It's so wonderful you decided to finish this. It's such an interesting time for them, with their reversals of faith, and the nigh impossibility of Mulder lying to Scully and pulling it off, not just in a literal sense but within the solid bedrock psychology of their partnership. 'PBV' was difficult to accept for that reason, not that Scully saw through him immediately, but that he would plausibly try it at all. I like here how you reveal the incremental slowness with which trust is built when infiltrating a terrorist ring. There is indeed such a sadness and serious to S5, since S4 grew them up, as did the death of Scully's biological child, which is commonly glossed over. Anyway, thank you, and so good to have you back!
J! Thank you. S5 looms large for me and always will. I think you're right, 4/5 represent a real loss of innocence for them. I've been watching a lot of s1/s2 stuff lately and it really makes the difference feel stark. I'm so happy to be back and happy you're still here, too!
Wonderful, thank you. I travelled back in time to the good old days. I always knew there will always be a good outcome with the revival, this is it. Is there continuity? Is there hope for you and all the great writers to keep this in a steady manner?
Thank you. Great fic, great timing too. After the finale, I was ready to say good bye for real this time. But your fic gives me hope, I will copy one of the best lines: "Nostalgia for the present that would, one day, be past. The Germans surely had a name for it."
I am not ready for the x files to be my past yet. Surely yes on the tv show, but not the universe that was created back in 1993. As long as there are great fics such as this..

Thank you for reading! I still have M&S knocking around in my head (and probably always will), so there'll probably be more, even if they're just little snippets.
Thank you :)

I have only recently discovered your XF fan fiction - thank you, I have enjoyed reading every word (especially Snakebitten). I am feeling so happy that there is still wonderful FF out there that I have not come across before, and also new FF. The way the world is I need more than ever to be able to escape into the world of Mulder and Scully. Rachel
