I started my DJ career because I was an ineffective bass player (couldn't stay in a band).

5 years of being a marginally effective DJ, and suddenly I'm a bassist again. The difference? People suddenly want to hear my bass style. A lot has changed in 5 years, apparently.

Weird.

I played some free jazz last night at Acme for a poetry night. It was really cool, actually. The other musicians probably didn't think much of my playing, but what the fuck--I had fun.
