So... I stole Amanda's comment whoring idea. Basically the point here is I made a mix of all of my favorite songs by my favorite artists. I give you the artists, you tell me what song you think I picked for said artist.
Barenaked Ladies - You actually picked a favorite here? Umm..Call and Answer was ruined by Alanis. So how about...oh...fuck...I'm going to steal from Bov and say Break Your Heart
( ... )
Nice to see that this post, though posted months ago, can still entertain those who are bored at work.
You got 4 or 5. It's been a while since I did this so I'm not really sure on some of them anymore.
The Rilo Kiley song was More Adventurous, heh. I have this thing when I've been drinking where I really want to listen to a song, but I'm actually almost entirely incapable of paying any attention to it, so I just play it on loop for like an hour. It bothers people.
As for Radiohead: I didn't make fun of the poster, I made fun of the fact that you have all of their CDs and actually actively listen to them. To each his own though. I've never really cared for them, but I know a lot of people that do, so they must be doing something right. Karma Police is the right answer.
I feel I should explain my problem with Radiohead though:
All of the people I knew in high school that listened to them a lot were massive tools and just listened to them because they were trendy. When I first heard that you listened to them I didn't know you (we might have met once), so I assumed you were a punk loser kid too.
Now I know you well enough to believe that you listen to them because you genuinely enjoy them and I can respect that.
Actually the song may have been High and Dry, but it was almost tied with Karma Police, so I'll count it anyway. Karma Police was the first Radiohead song I ever heard.
Hahaha, yeah, I completely understand... no one else really listened to them at my school, so they were kind of like my own special thing, but you're generalization of Radiohead fans is pretty spot on. Sometimes I'll read message boards about them just to laugh.
They're one of those bands that has zealotous fans. I'll admit to prior being one, but now, if they put out shit, I can admit it to myself and not buy it.
