With lots of The Avengers related movie news hitting this past week, in addition to just about every other comic book movie coming out with something as well, why not another interesting tidbit?
Tom Hiddleston revealed in an interview that his character, Loki, will go head to head vs. The Incredible Hulk. Apparently, the actors that play the Assemblers swap "war" stories and compare who has the bigger bruise. Hiddleston shared this little fact with
Scotsman.com, and revealed one of his battle wounds came from a tussle with Mark Ruffalo's Incredible Hulk.
“It’s like being in a rugby team. We used to pull up our shirts with me saying ‘Look at the size of this bruise on my hip’ and then Chris Evans pulling down his trousers going, ‘Dude, you think that’s bad - look at my ass.’ The worst was I smashed my elbow during a tête-à-tête with Mark Ruffalo’s Incredible Hulk. It really hurt.”
Now, this brings up not only the question of why, but more so -- how -- the god of mischief would even be able to be involved in a physical confrontation with ol' Green Skin. If I recall, Loki couldn't really handle himself against his brother, Thor; however, by the looks of things,
Loki is getting some extra help.
The Avengers assembles May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
