I don't have the book right now, but I've watched the Granada episode and I love it! And partly because of the scenes after Watson fainted. I haven't read the whole story so I can't point out my favourite quotes right now. I'll come back later, maybe, with some quotes.

OTOH, I love EMPT to bits because YAY Holmes is back and still a dick.

Also, he brought Watson presents, and one of them was a copy of Catullus. Presumably to spice up their sex life ('cause yeah. Catullus = BIG GAY).

Additionally, I think this is a rare example of a really good bit of story-telling by ACD. Because he makes you wait for Holmes to come back by telling you one of the exciting murder stories he's (kinda) good at. You'd almost forget that Holmes was dead.

Also:

“When you like and where you like.”

LOLOLOL. Nothing I could say could make that better.

Also: Cavendish Square! There's a set-up if ever I saw one (she realises much belatedly).
