TORONTO, June 9 (UPI) -- "Splice" star
Sarah Polley is among the seven celebrities to be honored with a place on Canada's Walk of Fame this year, organizers said.

Doug Henning, conservationist and author Farley Mowat, Olympic cyclist and speed skater Clara Hughes, actor
Eric McCormack and former Blood Sweat & Tears front man David Clayton-Thomas also are to be recognized at a ceremony to be held in Toronto Oct. 16, the National Post said Wednesday.
"It's a very balanced list," Peter Soumalias, founder and president of Canada's Walk of Fame, told the newspaper. "It incorporates many genres, athletics, film, television, certainly music and literary arts. ... They need to have a body of work. It's not about one hit CD or one hit sitcom."
