 what's everyone's thoughts on the holly j and declan breakup?

i don't get why degrassi writers can't have a happy couple that makes sense! declan paid for everything during the summer, what changed then? really i think their characters started to change when they went back this season.

seeing her with sav is a definite downgrade and gross imo.

Poor communication has always been a huge deal with Declan and Fiona, so them making huge problems where there aren't any makes sense to me. Being apart really changes a relationship too, although I'm not sure a few months is really that extreme. Agreeing about the Sav thing looking sudden and lame though, aren't there rules about not going after your friends' exes?

hum i can see what you mean. my own relationship started out long distance,4 years latter we are finally living together. so maybe it's the immaturity.

there should be rules because you know everything about how skeezy he is.

my opinion is that Declan is too good for Holly J, anyway. she went RIGHT back to her manipulating and scheming ways once he was gone.

altho yeah her and Sav is kind of...odd. i'm wondering if maybe she just gets a "crush" on him or something, kind of like what happened with Spinner. because i can't see Sav even wanting a relationship with her after she pulled that shit about making everyone think he got Anya pregnant.

all in all, i just hope this doesn't mean even less or NO more Declan....he's one of my favorite characters!

I know. Idgi, why cant Degrassi keep a good couple together. They were good for eachother.

I think it changed because Holly J got so much shit at school for him paying for everything, she probably felt belittled.

to me that's all i see money wise. he paid for everything in new york. he set her up with the internship. fiona helped with stuff when they were cool too..so idk.

i'm sad they broke up, but i don't get why they just dropped the whole cheating thing. it seemed pretty clear to me that something was going on with tinsley...sure, declan had to make it seem like he didn't want holly j to come to yale so he could surprise her at degrassi, but if the tinsley thing was part of the plan to throw holly j off even more, that's messed up. did i miss something?

i haven't watched the next two episodes yet, but according to the comments above holly j turns back into her old self. too bad, i was just beginning to like her.
