Just wanted to let my fellow Canadian Pens fans know that it looks like Sid got our cover for the Sports Illustrated Olympic preview issue. I'm not absolutely sure how it's working, but the cover that's on Sports Illustrated's website is of Lindsey Vonn, so I'm assuming that's the main cover that's going to be distributed. This Sid cover is clearly more geared towards the Canadian Olympic fans, so I'm assuming it'll just be in Canada, though admittedly, I don't know for sure.

It wouldn't surprise me though, SI does stupid regional stuff all the time. Like when the Pens won the Cup at the same time Kobe and company won the NBA championship, and they did the duel covers- I ended up stuck with the stupid Kobe one, when I wanted the Sid cover! Same issue... just different covers for no reason whatsoever.

That sucks. Were you able to go and buy the other one? (That reminds me of when I bought The Phantom Menace novel. I wanted the Obi-Wan cover, but I could only find the one with Queen Amidala. (Ewan Mcgregor...droooooool)

(It'll probably be weird though, competing against your teammates like that. Not as in former teammates like when you trade or whatever. Although don't Geno and Gonch have to team up with Ovechkin? *vomit*)

it will probably end up being russia and canada showdown. I don't know for sure, but I really am excited for olympics to start!

YEAH!! We have just as much of a chance as any other team in this comp. It cracks me up because everyone's talking about Canada vs Russia...it'd be too funny if both get knocked out early and everybody's just staring there going "...HUH?"
