Changing of the Guard at NBC

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted here already.  NBC (in the US) are officially putting Scott Hamilton and Sandra Bezic out to pasture.  I posted about this on my own LJ, with a link to the New York Times article and some of my own biased/ rambling reaction.

no more scoot hilalmitons on nbc...*cries* I mean, not really. But scooooot! I loved being able to say 'scoot' to my girlfriend during the Winter Olympics, like "OH SCOOT, you old dog." I was bummed about missing out on Tara and Johnny last go-round, as I don't have cable, so seeing them on the regular NBC will be highly enjoyable for me. Hilalmitons had a good run. I will miss his vocalizations, though, when he wasn't sure if a skater would nail a landing.

I loved Scott back when he was on CBS. At that time, he was a refreshing change from Dick and Peggy on ABC. Then he and Sandra (who did decent commentary with Robin Cousins for 1991 Worlds on NBC) were teamed up on NBC... and became Dick/Peggy Mark II.

Oh dear; I hope Johnny and Tara don't turn into Dick and Peggy version 3. And yes, Bowie is fellating a gun :D
