I saw the Russian coaches in the elevator repeatedly: Mishin, Tarasova, and Moskvina. Many of the skaters, expecially Trankov who seemed to be in the elevator and at breakfast near me every time I turned around, but we never said hello. The entire American skating contingent showed up in formal attire in the business center to wait for admittance to their closing dinner in the restaurant while I and a couple of other fans were printing our going-home boarding passes. The only one of those ho really spoke with us was Evan Bates.

My favorite performances were the long programs of Yuzuru Hanyu and Javier Fernandez. Papadakis & Cizeron were classy, flashy dancers. And I'm partial to the swoops and throws of any and all Chinese pairs.

I was diappointed to not see Johnny Weir, Tara Lipinski, and Terry Gannon broadcasting from the arena. I guess they watched the feed from the studio back in the US.

Odd to think of gods going shopping.

Great post. I'm so glad Yuzu came back strong after that injury drama/mess. (Also every time I see that damn Pooh I think there was a missed opportunity to have the tissues come out the ass.....)
