S.O.S - Save Our Skating...Wiki

Not sure if any of the old guard are around to do something about this, but I went to look at ONTD_Skating's wiki today and discovered I couldn't because apparently they've decided to no longer offer wikispace for free.However, they will let you save your pages and whatnot before they get deleted, so I was hoping a member of the wiki could rescue

I hope one of the wiki writers sees this in time. Some of those entries were hilarious.

(And yeah, I am in Aus at the moment and cannot watch any skating! I forgot how much it sucked being a fan in this country... it is part of the reason I moved to Canada. :p )

I know! Those entries were all gold, if I'd known I would have saved them all myself.

Well, I probably could watch streams if I hadn't run out of internet data and the internet company reduced me to dial-up speeds (according to my overseas friends, such cruel things are not done in other countries - when I told them why my internet was so slow they were all O.o), my kingdom for Unlimited Bandwith I don't have to pay through the nose for!

Oh man I remember post-Vancouver when this comm was super active I definitely wrote stuff for that wiki and it's sad to see it all ~gone with the wind

I've still been keeping up with skating but everyone's kind of dispersed to like Tumblr and Twitter and FACTIONS and whatnot. I recently signed up for Goldenskate because they have streaming links and the latest news but it's not as fun

I've been reading the archives of this com like a sad skating fan and mourning all the sheninigans I missed - including your epic love of PChiddy.

I guess you need to be a moderator of the wiki to save the stuff from it, not just a member otherwise you could rescue all that history for us! :O)

I'm at Golden Skate too! What's your username there, we may have crossed paths - although you'd probably recognise my name there since it's the same, LOL. I enjoy hanging out in the Plushy Fan thread mostly.

I joined Figure Skating Universe too, but they're a bit in-your-face over there, I posted to a thread about 'The Most Beautiful Programs' citing Plushy's Nijinsky and someone was like "LOL u got no taste" and I thought that was a bit rude :OP

And Tumblr's a very good source for skating news, but alas I can't get on at the moment because my internet is such an ass. Damn it Australia, get it together!

Ahhh sorry for the late response! I am pandatours over at Golden Skate...I'm weird in that I have a lot of different internet aliases. It would be easier to keep the same one but I'm paranoid like that. I love your anonymoose name though

I signed up to mostly gossip and talk about my feelings and get stream links. FSU is a little too intense, people on Golden Skate usually know when to leave an argument

I tried to make a "Yuzuvier" post, because that was pretty overwhelming at these World Championships, haha. It was my first ever though and I failed miserably and deleted it again:(. I wish the community would get back to Sochi levels of activity:).
