I am "off hiatus," in that I will make a post this week--in the community and everything. HOWEVER, I am approaching a danger zone re: RP and campfuckudie. And thus, to address it:
ABEL NACHTSTRAßE
IC: Time spent in space aside, he is in a pretty weird place! He's a little iffy on his relationship with camp at large--he wonders whether or not he should introduce himself to camp at large again. He's usually completely comfortable fading into a background townsperson role on his travels, but he also acknowledges that he'll be in camp for awhile yet and is officially sort of the proprietor of the chapel's free space. He also figures he should at least open up the church for actual religious services, but he's pretty ambivalent on actually personally handling those services, so. He's thinking! About how to make his life more comfortable and convenient.
Of note: he lives with Albert now and is trying to figure out how to break the news to his nearest and dearest. Is now fully cognizant of two facts that he feels go hand-in-hand somehow: one, he is in love with Albert Silverberg and would eat so many people and adorable animals to ensure his happiness and security; two, he is stuck in stasis until his brother is dead. Currently considering the proper venue in which to inform Albert of the former, since he doesn't think he can make that fact clear without also making clear the fact that he is aware the relationship cannot continue indefinitely and has contingency plans of some kind. Not that he actually knows that those plans are.
OOC: I love Abel, I love TB when new canon actually comes out. I am definitively not okay with what I'm doing with him (read: nothing). While I don't mind that he's uninvolved in camp plots at large, my lack of play means that he isn't making new casual acquaintances or unique and special friends! And that's not cool.
The good thing about a character like Abel is that it's really easy to reintroduce him to the swing of things--he's friendly and extroverted when he wants to be, and interesting in his own right, and I can take advantage of that once I am personally motivated. I don't want to say anything all-encompassing like "I'll drop him when I drop camp," but--well, he can survive my inactivity, which is more than I can say for most of the characters I've had at CFUD.
Also, my life is not complete until I send Akito chocolate or kosher candy canes or something. JSYK.
ODDS OF DROPPING: About 3/10. Hops up to about 5/10 or 6/10 if Albert and Shigure drop, but seriously, even if RL stonewalled me and half the TB cast dropped I probably could still manage to hang onto him. By the skin of my teeth.
NATHAN PETRELLI
IC: GETTING BORED, but definitely tons more comfortable at camp than he was when he first arrived. He wears civilian clothing now! And has a jogging route! And can shoot a zombie from twenty paces! Still defaults to dissatisfied, and still isn't altogether interested in making supernatural friends. And hanging out with kids just makes him miss his own brood. But, really, the sad and painful truth is that if Peter is okay and nearby then he is also okay and can get through camp. He sort of views it as a learning experience, which is such a crotchety thing to do. He is in space with Abel and I will remove him from hiatus around the same time.
OOC: I STILL LOVE YOU, NATHAN. YOU'RE STILL THE DOUCHE FROM THE FIRST SEASON IN MY HEART.
I love Nathan Petrelli. I do. I would hang onto him anyway for the sole purpose of being able to say I play Nathan on the internet. I cannot watch Heroes in Singapore, which is honestly no skin off my bones because it just hurts me more with everything new I hear about it. I do not even care if anyone is bothered by the fact that I still play Nathan from the first season. I could talk at length about why taking him from later in the series would just be a wretched idea, but I won't unless I hear a voice of dissent.
I am extremely comfortable with Nathan as a backburner, because he's not major-player material in the first place. I do feel like I should set some numerical standard for him in regards to comments, or relationships, but it's easy to write off his lack thereof because he is sincerely disinterested. It's pretty quality.
ALSO, WE HAVE A CLAIRE. CLAIRE! I WILL PLAY WITH YOU SOON! I SWEAR ON YOUR MOTHER'S FIERY GRAVE 8'D
ODDS OF DROPPING: 1/10, because I can't do that to Peter. Because she wouldn't let me. That said, if Peter drops, Nathan is gone. Dust in the wind!
CHARLEY J. KRISHUND (CHERRY)
IC: UNHAPPY. SO UNHAPPY. When Johnny's in trouble, nothing is okay, and as far as he knows nothing is currently okay. He's willing to blame it on all these Halloween shenanigans he keeps hearing about, and has his fingers crossed for the end of October, but--once again it's been called to his attention that he knows nothing about Johnny and Johnny won't trust him with the things that are endangering their collective security, and. It's incredibly frustrating! And when Rayfell has to be the one to provide him with information--well, it's a pain in the ass.
As of their last interaction, Rayfell discomfits him more than she used to. He's good at compartmentalizing, so it doesn't bother him that he's clearly attracted to her and that they hit third base--he is a man, after all, and sometimes things happen between a man and a woman. He's a little bit miffed that she would blatantly take advantage of him (BECAUSE SHE CLEARLY DID), but he doesn't dislike her more than he already did. She's useful. If trampy. He disdains her but doesn't dislike her and p-p-probably won't hold too strong a grudge against her for pawing at him, but he'd rather not have to resort to such carnal tactics for information next time. Tramp.
Charley is spending his time warding off tangible Halloween threats and taking out his frustration via violence and prayer.
OOC: Vassalord is currently one of the great loves of my life, and there is pretty much nothing about it I don't love. Nanae Chrono is a master of complicated relationships and every time I end up discussing the series with Pie, I launch into tangents about the nature of Johnny and Charley's connection and how curious I am about the nature of certain elements of the series and and and :'D IT'S GREAT. I love it. Every chapter is a treat.
That said, Charley is someone I wrote an application for on what was basically a whim, and he's not as essential a part of my lineup as Abel or Nathan. That doesn't mean I don't love him, but having him as a character of mine is not an absolute necessity. Which makes it more fun for me, in a way, when I do end up bringing him out--he's a blast to play and I am honestly invested in the few relationships he's made, and curious about the kind of relationships he's capable of making. I play him somewhat casually, but he's a lot of fun when I do bring him out. He's also in a comfortable position as a backburner while I'm flaky, which is honestly less than what he deserves as a protagonist of an amazing series, but I can't say I feel too bad about it since I can see myself playing him much more actively when I'm not as busy as I am.
Pie is the best Johnny in the universe, BTW, and I am lucky to be playing with someone as patient with me as she is. REPRESENT.
ODDS OF DROPPING: 3/10. Inevitable if Pie tires of Rayflo, but that doesn't seem likely ATM.
SCARECROW
IC: IDEK. Probably in limbo with Abel and Nathan and will exit hiatus around the same time. I don't even know what he's been up to, which . . . you know.
OOC: Yeah, he's pretty much gone once I think of a satisfactory conclusion for his brief tenure at camp. I want to do some wacky Halloween event with him so he can go out with a bang. NINE DAYS TO THINK ABOUT IT.
Hilariously, I don't think I'm too dumb to play him or anything; I just got him at a bad time, and I've been pretty defunct in regards to RP all year. Hopefully someone else can do him justice if they ever feel the compulsion.

WOLVERINE
IC: Chilling with the rest of my dudes. I guess. Pretty hazy on where he lives, but since he's Wolverine I have no problems with letting him run rampant in the woods expressing himself with his fists.
OOC: I love Wolverine, and I am shocked that I actually wrote an app for him. I am still in disbelief over the fact that I play him at all.
. . . for a subjective value of the word "play". TBH, he hasn't really gotten out since his introduction, which I blame on my general inactivity. SORRY, GUYS. I know I am kind of a jerk for grabbing him at all when I don't have the time or motivation to RP. I do see him as having potential as part of my lineup once I'm out of my funk, though, so I cling desperately to the hope that he will actually come into his own at camp. His voice comes to me with hilarious ease, and I understand his motivations (as hazy as I am on the more complex parts of his increasingly complicated backstory). When I start trying to RP more in general, I'll bring him out more to get a feel for his character and decide whether or not he's really a keeper. Need to play more with the Marvel cast when this actually happens.
ODDS OF DROPPING: 5/10. Probably would jump up to 6/10 if Laura dropped, but he's not a dependent character in any sense of the term, so.
ME: Well! Life is hectic. I'm pretty much all over the map these days visiting family members and conducting official business and whatnot. When I think about it, I realize that I haven't really been a denizen of campfuckudie . . . basically all year. And that's a little depressing, because CFUD used to be a crutch for me when I was stressed and I used to consider so many players friends when nowadays I hardly interact with them anymore. SHIT SUCKS.
Perhaps we will find ourselves on the same wavelength again someday soon, CFUD. In the meantime, please be patient with me for a little while longer while I try to regain my footing with the world at large. I STILL LIKE YOU. 8'(
