broken social scene presents kevin drew was pretty fabulous monday night. there is something very comforting about seeing someone wearing your favourite band's tshirt when you are living in a different country. even more comforting when the person wearing said shirt is the singer from one of your other favourite bands.

man, if back in 1997 i knew i'd be partying in my apartment with one of the dudes from treble charger 16 year old me would be pretty impressed with 24 year old me.
And funny that bill priddle is touring with them. j ripped 'maybe it's me' last week and it was like 'aww remember when treble charger were GOOD' hahaha. oh, 1990s canadian indie...

Glad you loved Battles. I kind of thought you would...I thought they were f*ckin' incredible and would love to see them again. What did you think of the support band? I just bought their album 'Rise Above' and I suspect it might be a classic.

they were so amazing. i wish i had gotten up closer cause the crowd was semi-lame. i only caught the last song and a half of the opening band cause i got into edinburgh a bit late. i couldn't decide if i really liked them or what. what are they called anyway?
he really hasn't changed at all. that's exactly what he looked like back in the treble charger days too. i think.
