Summary: The porcelain doll's life hangs by a thread...

Jae and Yunho decided to venture back into the basement a few days after the frightening incident.  Jae flipped the switch; Yunho in front with the baseball bat in his hand.  They surveyed their surroundings;  boxes piled on top of boxes.  They started looking in the dark corners; they didn't want anything to pop  out at them.  They started opening up some of the boxes; most of them filled with knick knacks and other antique items.  Yunho began investigating the area where the glass case had been shattered.  He saw something; bending over to pick it up, he blew away the dust.

"Jae, I found a book."

He handed the book to his lover; Jae examining it it closely.

"Let's go upstairs and get a proper look."

They went upstairs; Jae putting the book on a table.  He put on a pair of cotton gloves and gingerly opened it.  The book was very old; pages brown and fragile.  Jae began to read it; flipping the pages with great care.  The more he read, the more his eyes grew wide  The words upon the page seemed to come alive.  Jae turned pale;  Yunho noticing the look of horror on his lovers face.

"What is it?"

Jae shut the book.

"Yoochun."

Junsu and Changmin paced up and down the emergency room floor, eagerly awaiting for news about Yoochun.

"What are we going to tell them?  He has no identity.  How about his injuries, how do we explain them?"

Changmin was beside himself;  he was beginning to show signs of having a breakdown.

"I don't care," Junsu stated.  "I don't care if we lie like a cheap rug.  All that matters is Yoochun."

Someone clearing his throat interrupted him.  They turned and looked in the direction of the voice.

"I'm Dr. Sung.  Gentlemen, please follow me."

The two frightened friends followed the doctor until he came to a secluded room.

"Gentlemen your friend has lost a great deal of blood.  He's alive, but in bad shape.  Rest assured we will give him the best care."

The doctor drew back the curtains; Changmin and Junsu supressing a gasp.  Yoochun was hooked up to a heart monitor; blood dripped from an IV into his arm.  His neck was bandaged and an oxygen mask covered his face.

Changmin felt woozy.  He grabbed Junsu's hand and gripped it hard.

They stood in silence, holding back their tears.  Their porcelain treasure seemed so delicate and vulnerable.

Changmin lightly lifted Yoochun's hand; the slender fingers responding to his lover's touch.  They closed slightly, acknowledging the club owner's presence.

Junsu wiped Yoochun's dampened bangs from his forehead; leaning in he kissed the doll; Yoochun moaning softly beneath the oxygen mask.

"We're here for you Chunnie-ah.  We will never leave you.  We love you."

The doll trembled.

Junsu addressed the doctor.

"Can we have a blanket?"

The doctor addressed a nurse who brought a heated blanket for Yoochun.  Junsu covered the doll, tucking him in as if her were a child waiting to hear a bedtime story.

"Sleep my little Pinocchio," he whispered.  "Sleep."

It was obvious to the doctor that the three young men had a special relationship.  He hated to interrupt them,  but he needed to do his job.

"Gentlemen, there are some things that we need to discuss."

Junsu looked at Changmin; the club owner still holding on to Yoochun's hand.

Junsu walked out of the room, trying to keep from bawling his eyes out.  He took a deep breath and pretended that his heart wasn't breaking.

Junsu would try his best to keep a straight face and not betray the facts; Yoochun was a doll that came to life on Christmas Eve.  It was Pinocchio and a Christmas Carol all rolled up into one.  A miracle; a strange and crazy miracle.  If Junsu were to tell the truth, they would all be locked up for sure.

The doctor's voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Have you called the police?"

Junsu swallowed hard.

"The police?"

The doctor stared at him.

"You're friend was attacked.  You need to report this to the authorities."

Junsu had to think fast.

"Yes he was attacked," Junsu lied.

Junsu felt like an idiot.  Dozens of people at The Pleasure Palace saw Changmin carrying him out.  If they were questioned, there would be big trouble for the club owner and Junsu.

Junsu quickly changed the subject.

"I'll have Changmin call the police.  My main concern is for Yoochun's welfare."

The doctor concurred.

"Stay with your friend.  We'll go over the paperwork later."

Jusu sighed.  He was about to go back into the room when his phone rang.  He looked at it and recognized the number.  It was Jaejong.

"Jae this is a bad time..."

Jae interrupted him.

"You're in danger.  She's coming for you and Yoochun.  You're not safe."

Junsu raised an eyebrow.

"What are you talking about?  Who is coming?"

Jae sounded hysterical.

"There's another doll.  It broke free the other night.  I found the book.  You  are all cursed."

A shiver ran down Junsu's spine.

"Another doll?  It's on the loose?"

"We found a book.  There's a legend.  A magic spell; a curse that transcends time.  Spirits encased in the bodies of life sized dolls.  She's evil.  She's on her way."

Junsu began to sweat.

"Why would this doll want me?"

Jae tried to calm his breathing.

"You'll stole Yoochun from her."

Junsu laughed nervously.

"I stole Yoochun from another doll?"

Jae sighed.

"No, you dolt.  You were there.  You stole Yoochun away from the Princess.  His wife, Junsu.  Yoochun's wife is coming to kill you......."
