Warning: there is lots of het in this chapter; it is necessary for the story.
Chains rattled as he was dragged into the main chamber; weak from blood loss, he could barely stand. The guards pushed him, and he fell forward. He didn’t even bother to try and stand up.
His eyes would not focus; they stung from sweat and tears. He heard voices; one feminine and soft, the other deep and commanding. It sounded as if they were arguing, but his fever ridden brain could not comprehend the words.
A coughing fit made the voices stop; all eyes now fixated upon him as spasms wracked his body. A drop of bright red blood appeared at the corner of his mouth; wiping it away he managed to smile in the direction of the voices.
He could see them now; shapes that became recognizable as he blinked.
The Devil sat upon a throne of skulls; his daughter beside him. They resumed talking; ignoring him for the moment. But he knew that he was the subject of their conversation. They were deciding his fate.
The female coveted him despite his love for the angel Junsu. She pleaded with her Sire for forgiveness; something that Satan wasn’t known for. But the demon Lilith was tenacious; she would not give in.
Another spasm shook him and he cried out; body broken and bleeding from the inside. The girl ran to his side and cradled him in her arms.
Satan rose from his throne of skulls and shouted out orders to his guards.
“Release him.”
The demons obeyed their master without question. They removed the chains and left the chamber.
“You’re a foolish girl,” he chastised his daughter. “He’ll be dead by morning.”
The little female narrowed her eyes at her father and hissed at him.
The devil laughed heartily then disappeared in a puff of smoke, leaving his wayward child alone with her charge.
“Come Yoochun,” she spoke softly to him. “I will take care of you.”
The tiny female helped him to his feet. Wrapping one arm around his waist she somehow managed to support him. They walked slowly and cautiously out the chamber and down the long corridor to her private room.
He collapsed upon her bed; grasping a pillow he clung to it as if it were his true love.
“At least I’ll die in a soft bed, free and unchained,” he told himself as the female busied herself about her room.
He flinched as a cool cloth was pressed to his forehead; the demon Lilith’s soft voice speaking words of encouragement as she washed his slender frame.
Using her knowledge of ancient medicine she created potions and ointments to ease his suffering. Wounds were cleansed and bound; thirst quenched with fresh water infused with herbal remedies.
She tucked him in; his body shivering from fever and loss of blood. Crawling in beside him he moaned and called out his true love’s name.
“Junsu.”
Lilith bit her trembling lip and began to weep.
“How can I win your heart when your love for this angel is so pure?”
She held him tightly, and instinctively he nuzzled her.
Inhaling deeply, he recognized her scent.
“Lilith.”
His mouth pressed lightly upon her neck; tongue licking beads of sweat from under her jaw line.
She felt fangs scraping upon her throat and resolved to give him what he needed.
“Go on,” she encouraged him. “Take from me what is freely given.”
It wasn’t much of a bite at first; his weakness apparent as she felt something akin to a pinch upon her flesh.
“Do it,” she commanded him, and the little pin prick grew as his fangs broke through her skin puncturing her deeply.
Tiny, cherry red rivulets ran down her dusky skin; tongue lapping up every drop. He mewled as the warm, sticky metallic taste filled his mouth. He swallowed and found his strength returning to him.
Delicate fingers reached out and touched the puncture marks she had given him the previous night.
“We are bonded now,” she told him. “We have marked each other and henceforth bound to one another for eternity.”
Yoochun paused and looked up at her; his lips stained with her blood.
“I’ve made no such vows,” he told her.
Lilith smiled seductively at him.
“You know the law. The blood oath is sacred. No words need be spoken. Once we have tasted each other’s blood there is no turning back.”
Yoochun narrowed his eyes at her.
“I did not give you permission. You drank from me while I was weak. I did not give my consent.”
“I am the Devil’s daughter; I do not need your permission. You were destined to be my mate before this angel seduced you. My father had always planned to give you to me, even long before your Junsu spread his legs for you.”
Yoochun growled at her baring his fangs.
“Bitch.”
“Yes, I am your bitch now, whether you like it or not. You cannot deny the blood bond. Once we make it, the connection can never be broken. You may hate me with all your heart, but your body will need me. No matter how much you try you can’t escape it, you will always need me.”
Her hand reached out; thumb swiping across his swollen mouth. He bit down hard and she winced in pain.
“You tricked me,” he spoke, his voice full of anger.
“Did I? Yes I drank from you without consent, but I offered up my own throat to you and you accepted it. Is that trickery? What about your angel? Did you not lure him to a secluded mountain top? Did you not take his chastity by force? Poor angel, so devastated that he took his own life to avoid living in shame.”
A clawed hand came across her face, scratching her skin.
“Your love is as hopeless as mine, Yoochun. Your angel never cared for you. He made you forget your purpose. You were supposed to capture him and bring him to my father. Instead you lost your head and your heart. His beauty weakened you. Angels are not the pure and innocent creatures you believe them to be. They are truly evil. Instead of returning home in triumph, you came back empty handed. Junsu is the real hero. He conquered you.”
The demon Yoochun grasped the sheets with clawed hands; knuckles white and body shaking like a leaf. He stared at Lilith; dark eyes stinging with tears; his hatred for the girl growing inside him like a disease.
“I am all you have now,” she told him. “Your Junsu could never love you. To him, you are nothing but a filthy animal.”
The demon Yoochun lunged at her, his fangs once more digging into her throat. He grinned wickedly as her blood spurted in his face. He didn’t care if he killed her; she meant nothing to him. His own life was meaningless. But as he drank his fill, his body began to react in strange ways. His mouth left her throat; it meandered aimlessly; kisses pressed to her forehead and her cheeks. Teeth nibbled on her earlobe; fingers running through dampened hair; groans escaping with each ragged breath. Hands wandered across her dusky skin; lips trailing after; perky nipples suckled; one and then the other. Thighs spread wide for him; slender fingers exploring and stretching the warm flesh between her legs. As his mouth feasted upon her she grasped his hair; body arching upon the blood stained sheets.
“Yes my love,” she moaned. “Take me. Take me my filthy animal.”
That night the blood lust overtook them. There, in that tiny corner within the depths of Hell, the two demons mated until their limbs were weak and their flesh was rubbed raw.
Such is the way of demons. Animals; filthy animals; or so they would have you believe….
“What is it Jae? What do we have to discuss?”
The two friends had left the P.R.O.U.D. compound to get some privacy and some fresh air. After grabbing a quick bite, Jae brought Junsu to a secluded spot away from prying eyes.
“I brought you here because I suspect that we are being watched and possibly followed. Yunho and Changmin suspect that something funny is going on.”
Junsu nodded his head.
“Well we have been keeping secrets from them. They don’t know about the demons using telepathy or the threat of a possible invasion. We haven’t said anything because Yunho may think we are crazy.”
Jae paced up and down, his nervousness apparent to his good friend.
“What is it Jaejoong. What is bothering you?”
The anthropologist looked his friend in the eye.
“You didn’t have another dream, Junsu. What happened the other night was real.”
The scientist swallowed hard.
“What do you mean it was real?”
Junsu stared at his friend. The anthropologist loosened his tie and then began to undress himself.
“What the Hell are you doing, Jaejoong?”
The tall, well built, handsome man, who had been Junsu’s friend all his life, bit his lower lip.
“You’re an angel, Junsu, and you’re not alone.”
Junsu stood in awe as a great set of white plumed wings broke free from Jaejoong’s back.
The scientist blinked.
“I’ll be damned...”
