Perhaps something good is actually coming out of the economic downturn.  I'm seeing more "ang mohs" on trains and living in HDB estates.  And I'm not referring to Holland V and Commonwealth and those near to central locations.  I'm seeing ang mohs in my out-of-this-world Woodlands.  A location shunned by even fellow Singaporeans.  I'm seeing a lot ( Read more... )

Alot of the expatriates are no longer on generous pay-outs. But, the real integration begins at the workplace. There's still alot of foreign hiring managers hiring their "own village" mentality here. Ethnocentrism is ranked high. With an aging population, and a miniscule population, and a lack of control of migrants, we may just well, jettison ourselves out of the workforce in no time!
