notes this is dedicated to justdoit7, for giving me a doctor!iker plot bunny and generally being enthusiastic about this. it's also for everyone on my f-list who got just as excited as i did every time i posted about this thing. it should be known that i am not a doctor, nurse, or med student; i know almost nothing about hospitals and surgery except for hip surgery because i had that two years ago, but i digress. the point is that i'm sorry about any factual inaccuracies! please forgive them. or, alternatively, if you point them out to me i can fix them. title is taken from a fantastic german movie of the same name.
i'm not exactly sure where the karim/yoann pairing came from. karim is my baby, i love him so much (i know a lot of people don't, but whatever i love him) and i've never been much of a yoann fan (i don't dislike him, but. you know.) but they somehow just fell together for this thing. so just bear with me! (i'm not secretly trying to convert anyone to loving karim, or anything, haha)
i suppose i should also warn about character death and a lot of general angst. but fear not, the dahveeds and pipita are there for comic relief!
