And on a similar note, they voted 40 to 10 to not allow same sex marriage in my state. Can't say I'm surprised at all, but I was heartened by the big mob of "Jesus would be tolerant" folks that showed up at the statehouse.

It's awful that there's still such a majority against it, but always good to see when people ban together in defence of it =) I don't think our government has ever so much as mentioned the possibility here before =_=;

they say it's to keep down the risks of the blood being infected with AIDS, which was also taught to us that men who have sex with other men are more likely to catch AIDS and any other STD because of the tearing that can occur, but as far as i'm concerned, that just happens to whoever's on bottom :| so maybe anyone who isn't a virgin shouldn't give blood by their logic.
regardless, it is stupid.
