Ye Ol' Magic Rat mentioned My Little Pony the other day, and it got me reminiscing. See, I was never what you'd call a girly girl. I had my Matchbox Cars (which we called Dinkies), I had my Go-Bots, my Transformers and my She-Ra dolls (a little girly, but She-ra kicked ass, so that was cool). But man o' man, did this gal ever love her My Little ( Read more... )

I still have my "Ponies." Though they are not in nearly as good of condition as the ones you found online ^^; But they are still passable I think ( ... )

I never did have a fuzzy pony. *sad beans* But the ponies I had were fun to play with. Barbies weren't my thing either. I used to cut off all their hair and chew their hands and feet off. ^_^

Buttons was indeed a Pony. I can find you a picture if you'd like to compare it to memory.

I believe your "Bride" Pony is part of the "big sister" line that was put out toward the end of the 80s. They were like...teen ponies or something, and tended to have slimmer bodies and longer legs than their chubbier early 80s forerunners.

I only ever had one pony: Cotton Candy. HOWEVER, she's a first run '83 ORIGINAL and she still has the little purple comb she came with and is in decent shape considering she's 28yrs old. I also acquired a first edition oh dang...her name escapes me. She was a pegasus; pink with little blue lightning bolts on her butt and a blue mane and tail. I am blanking on her name. xx; But yeah. I got her WAY LATER at a yardsale for like $0.50. Her butt markings are a bit worn.

I think my fav 80s toys were my Golden Girl and The Guardians of The Gemstones action figures. They pre-dated She-Ra slightly and were never quite as popular, but man, I loved them. They were a bit darker and more celtic-looking, to me. Less sugary than the Hanna-Barbera stuff. It is my lasting disappointment that these guys never got ( ... )

I had a few Barbie dolls and accessories. I loved playing with dolls. I had a Patty Prayer doll, a Baby Brenda doll, a Wendy Walker doll, a cabbage Patch doll, a fake Cabbage Patch doll, and some other dolls/stuffed animals - most of which I still have. :D But I also had a doctor's kit and a dump truck and loved playing in the dirt just as much. :D

I didn't have a My Little Pony collection. I did, though, have a Fizzy Pony. I still have her and her little comb on the ledge in my bedroom. Fun times! :D
