What kind of digital camera?

We are going to take back the digital camera we bought and get another. I don't like the way the pictures we take outside turn out. They turn out way to bright and there isn't any way to adjust this. We may have to spend just a little more to get the camera we want. Does anybody know what brand is best???

i have a sony dsc-51, it's okay, you've seen my photos so you can judge it's quality. The zoom kinda sucks, if you upgrade to the -72, much better zoom.

Wow! Your friend's camera takes REALLY good pictures! I like yours as well. Thanks for the info. =) Now I have a couple cameras in mind I can price and compare.
