Do you Really know me?

I am like an onion. (hmmm don't know if I like the analogy of an onion?) So many layers that nobody ever really gets to know me. Maybe I am a bit eccentric

i like the onion analogy. It's interesting that you used it because when I was like 10 or 11 or something I went to church with my pepere and the priest said that we were all onions, and it is only when we feel safe enough to pull back all of the layers that we know who we really are, but yet all of those layers are very important to our being.

It's the only sermon I remember.

Sounds like that priest gave a good sermon that day. I was thinking more about the onion analogy and the more I think about it the more it fits. It hurts to peel back the layers of an onion, makes our eyes water with pain...much like it does to pull back the layers of our own selves.

Yes that's all we can do is hope. I know that you understand how strange the world can look through the eyes of depression. I am very glad to have you as a friend. I wish that I could take away your pain and your ED.
