2003's shit is lingering a bit into 2004. Bill's fractured Collar bone isn't healing at all! The doctor recommends Electrical stimulation, but our insurance won't cover it until it's been 12 weeks so Bill has to wait another 4! He totally stressed out about getting back to work. The doctor also had to throw in that some people never heal!!! (But ( Read more... )

As an acute animal lover, I vote you take him in.
However, if you know anyone (friends, family, neighbors, etc.) that have veterinary training and could take a little looksie for free, that would be good (and cheap) too.
<3you.

I did end up taking him to the vet this morning. He still wouldn't eat any food and that was enough of a reason for me. The vet gave me antibiotics to give him twice daily, which luckily he has been able to keep down so far. He seems to be feeling much better alreay this evening. He even ate a bit of chicken breast, which the vet said would be gentle on his tummy. I feel much more at ease now. I was pretty worried about him!
Hugs and love <3 <3

P.S. I like your new icon. =) Georgie Porridgy sucks!

just call the vet and explain how your dog is feeling. They can usually assist you on weither or not to bring the dog in. My dog had a flu a while back, and my mom though she was gonna die. The vet told us exactly what to do to get her better and said not to bring her in.

Just call, a call can't hurt.

I just went ahead and brought him in. I'm a big stress case when it comes to my dog..lol! I'm glad I did though because the vet said they have had lots of dogs come in lately with the same symptoms and most of them end up having to be hospitilized for a couple days because they are unable to anyhting including their antibiotics down. Luckily Alvin has been keeping his down today. I think getting him in early enough before it got worse was a good thing!

Yeah I got him in this morning as a work in apt. i had to wait two hours in the office, but it was worth it. Now he has antibiotics and he seems to be feeling a lot better this evening! Of course when he feels better it makes me feel better too. =)

((((((Krista))))))) I'm sorry that 2004 isn't heading off to a good start. I really hope that Bill's healing goes ok... Gal's injury (when he sprained his ankle in the grand canyon) is still not healed from this summer. Its so hard trying to tell him he needs to stay off it more because it is still hurting him. He wants to be real "macho" or whatever. Ugh BOYS.
Anyways I love you girl!
