*phew* I never knew that doing "catwalk" would be this tiring. No wonder all the models are so slim and nice. It definitely uses a lot of energy to walk from one end to the other. :-P
I've just got back from another shopping spree in Milano town centre. Can someone just please stop me from spending anymore money before I declare bankruptcy? :-P I went out yesterday to shop as well, and since yesterday was Saturday, most Italians are out on the street to do their usual shopping and struting their stuff on the street. I couldn't buy much since its was so crowded. Only manage to get a vest from Zara which was a total bargain. I didn't know things here in Milan is SO cheap. :-P Well, today I was lucky, because its family day for most Italians, and they would be spending their day with families and friends instead of coming out for shopping. So I get to see, touch and feel those clothes more than yesterday. ^_^
Clothes in Milan are generally affordable if you're working in Europe. Labels like Zara, Sisley, Guess, Benetton are considered below average here and they're sold in very very cheap prices. A full trench coat from Sisley only costs EUR170, another great bargain, considering the material and design is the latest. Oh yeah, did I mentioned that trench coat is IN again this season of autumn/winter? So be sure to take yours from the closet before it is collecting more dust. :-P Another fashion tips is colors that are the shades of brown are in too. The in pattern is stripes and coat with tailor-chalk motifs is so cool. So for those who're going to shop for autumn/winter wear, be sure to look for these. If you follow these rules, you won't be wrong this season. Keke... :-P
I've not seen so many brands in my whole life. Milan is practically packed with boutiques, in every corner of the streets. The famous "golden triangle" is the Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Saint Angelo. If you walk along these streets, you'll see all the top designer brands which I would have to work my ass off for at least 50 years before I can even afford an undergarment from them. :-P For now, I can only dream of walking inside these boutiques and shop till I drop. :-P
Designer brands such as Armani Jeans and D&G (sub brands from their main label) are generally targetted at youngsters, so their design are more to my taste. The hip jeans from D&G is SO affordable. And I'm so getting one, when I have nice hips to show. LOL... And their tees are affordable too. Only EUR30 and above. Which makes D&G like Giordano in Singapore or Bossini in Malaysia. :-P I fell in love with this tee that has Batman design in the front. Too bad D&G isn't open on Sunday. If not, I would have bought it, and its only EUR50. After going out for these two days, I've already spent EUR500+. Gosh! I don't even know how I'm going to pay all these. Again, can someone please stop me from buying anymore. :-(
I think I'm blending in to the Milanese culture. Been learning from them how to style and accessorize myself. Its a no-no to wear sport shoes/sneakers when you go out to shop. These are only use for sport, well, they are designed for that purpose. So its better to wear leather shoes/boot, and make sure they're shiny. :-P And speaking of boots, I need to get another pair. Maybe I'll buy from Timberland this time, since they're more durable and affordable as well. Arrrgghhh... All that is on my mind now is which jeans I should buy, which shirt suits my coat, which accessories to use, yada-yada-yada. Everything is about fashion. Now I know why they said once you've stayed in Milan long enough, you'll contract the Milanese disease. Sigh...
