=So is my character human or what?
No matter if they’re originally a Shinigami, Arrancar, of Vaizard in canon “Bleach” they are human here.
=What are Spells?
Spells, as you may know them as in “Bleach,” are Kidou. Spells include shunpo/sonido, cero, and any other cast attack not created with a sword.
=Speaking of swords, do we have any Zanpakutou? And what are Sen’yuu?
No. Characters don't need to have swords, unless it's canon to do so--like with Ikkaku. Rather, the spirit is the Sen‘yuu. They're similar to Orihime's Shun Shun Reika and only come out when told to. If you'd like they can hang around, but none can stay out more than 24 hours.
=Can everyone else see my characters Sen’yuu?
Only if called forth. Sen'yuu are fighting creatures used in place of a sword or weapon. The Sen'yuu exist within a special object belonging to the Sen'yuu's owner.
=Can a character have more than one Sen'yuu?
Only if specified in canon as having a double-bladed weapon. To date, that would be only Ukitake Jyuushiro and Kyouraku Shunsui. Hisagi Shuuhei's is NOT.
=So. . .can you see what Virus I'm infected with?
Not really, no. A Taichou, Fukutaichou, or Espada ranking character's Sen'yuu might be able to sense it, but essentially the answer is no. The normal person or anyone ranking below Fukutaichou would most probably not be able to sense it. The only way to REALLY know if a Sen'yuu is infected is in battle. Then, and only then, will you see the hole(s) and/or mask.
By "sense," as used above, I mostly mean smell or sight. Canine Sen'yuu, or anything that smells particularly well, might be able to pick up on a faint difference between Shinigami, Arrancar, Vaizards, and normal Sen'yuu. OR, perhaps they have amazing vision. You could think of it two ways (or another if you like to be creative!): night/heat vision-style or aura. Night vision and heat vision are one, just because of how I imagine it. Rather than seeing around the person or thing being looked at, you'd see the shape in a color. Different colors for your Sen'yuu may mean different things toward the virus. Or aura, which has the same idea apply, only you see a ring around the creature rather than the creature's shape itself.
If you have any questions on this, as it's very important to staying IC and in the plot, don't hesitate to leave a message here or AIM/PM/E-Mail any of the mods! If you want to discuss your character having this "ability" and they're not of any of the classes listed above, feel free. Ikkaku, for example, and Houzukimaru might have it seeing as he is what he is.
=We can see what Virus they have, but can we tell the rank?
No. The idea of being able to smell or see the virus is more of a guideline. "Do they have it?" "Yup." "Kay." And that's pretty much it. There's no way to tell the difference between an Espada and a Privaron, Shinigami seat 3 versus 6.
=Can we have any original characters?
At this point in time, no.
HOWEVER. If your canon character (Yachiru, as an example) does not have a revealed spirit or hint within their zanpakutou name, you may create their Sen‘yuu.
=In canon the Shinigami and Vaizard dislike each other, in fact, the Vaizard were banished. What’s going on here?
The Shinigami and Vaizard still don’t get along, just out of nature. Except for Ichigo, who has gone where no Shinigami had gone before, the two groups will most likely be like water and oil. However, most Shinigami won’t know a Vaizard when they see one. They’re rare, and thus few know what the infected creatures look like.
=What about Bankai?
As you know, there are only a few characters in “Bleach” who can perform Bankai. The Captains can perform Bankai, as special change of form and raise in power to the Sen‘yuu. Only those in canon who can perform Bankai can perform it here. No exceptions.
=Well, Vaizards have their masks. What about them?
The Vaizard infected Sen‘yuu, like in canon, conjure masks from particles around them and gain strength and partial ability of the Arrancar Virus.
=And the Arrancar? What about their releases?
The Arrancar infected Sen’yuu may take on a new shape like both those with Bankai or Vaizard masks. In example, Aaroniero’s Sen’yuu may morph into his “blob-like” form when released.
=So where are we, exactly?
Earth. Imagine all of the continents but one sinking into the ocean and even most of this remaining slab of earth is shrinking as the water rises. It’s name has been changed, as leaving it France or India just wasn’t practical, to Mirai.
=Time frame?
Modern. There are cellular phones, laptops, and even televisions with Bluetooth if you so desire!
=What about the Quincy? What about Uryuu and Ryuuken?
The Quincy, as they have no Zanpakutou, are humans with the ability to use Spells. They have been infected with a super-rare strain of the virus that gives humans the ability of strength and Spells by combining them with bows and arrows. In the application, Quincy falls under the “Rank” section, due to the fact that it has few other places to go.
=How old are our characters in game?
In canon, Ichigo begins as 15 and one can guess the story has progressed roughly a year. Thusly, he is about 16 here.
=Wait, we’re not done yet! Where’s Kon? Why isn’t he on the character list?
Due to the fact that Kon is neither here, nor there, he will not exist in game.
=Our swords, can they be sealed or released?
No. They cannot. Rather than releasing a sword like in canon, you release the Sen’yuu from their item. When Urahara calls forth his power with “Cry, Benihime” he is now releasing his Sen’yuu and its special abilities instead.
Remember you don't actually need a sword, but if it's canon with the character to have one, go ahead.
=What is God Moding?
You know God(s) and how he/they are all powerful? God Moding is pretty much making your character the best that they can be. They can't die and give one hit KO. Don't do that.
=What is Power Playing?
This is when you take over another persons character, even on accident. It's not alright to move another players character and some people take this very seriously (Jayden does!). Just be careful, but we're sure you'll be okay!
=Who is Mary Sue?
She's the same person as everyone else. She has no individuality or creativity and is basically a copy cat. Aizen will smite her, or her brother Gary.
=Tell me about these Activity Checks.
Your Mod will announce when one will be coming up. As long as your character has at least one journal entry AND one log/thread going on within that time, you're safe.
