I'm not sure what I think about Mary Gaitskill's Two Girls, Fat and Thin and Veronica. The particular details of the characters' memories and the way they percieve the world through disembodied and fragmented parts make me believe I'm taking a cold walk through the real. +++ points except that is majorly expensive and people who successfully recruit others get 1/2 a week's fee deduction.

Yeah, that certainly threw cold water on my enthusiasm for the program.

Yeah, I figured it was Barbara's way of easily recruiting people by just taking lists from the Chautauqua pool.

I think it just makes me sick how easy I can be found. I want to be a mystery! I want people to hunt me down, not stumble onto me.
