Anyway, read The Book of Salt by Monique Truong. It's about Stein and Toklas' live in chef in France.

I don't get Stein b/c I've never read her. But the first line of the song kept pounding through my head while I wrote this so I thought it would be appropiate, as a rhythm-giving thing, to put it out there.
