Intermezzi Ottava: Can we build it?

Jun 26, 2011 17:10

It seems the summer is the time to build. Of course, at 1490 Kramden it might not be immediately obvious that prep-work for additions are going on, unless you look in the basement windows.

Friends of the family might get invited downstairs to see what the crazy lady is up to, this time.

[Tarvek pulls up to the curb of 1490 Kramden, looking slick, with a bottle-a-red, a bottle-a-white, and a bottle-a-Johnny Walker Black: he's feeling like offering some guest gifts, as he figures he owes them. He's a Europan Prince with a thing for all things Paris: you KNOW the wine is good. (It is a good thing his mun, however, did not choose it...)]

[He checks his hair in the rearview mirror, cheerfully makes sure the open neck of his sports shirt (light blue) sets his face off nicely, then slips from the car, collects his set of (wrapped) bottles, slings his medium blue sports jacket over his shoulder, and proceeds toward the house... and hears...]

[Construction work? He peeks in the basement window, and calls.]

Ilsa? Is that you down there?

[ The sound of hammering in the basement is interrupted by a slightly-muffled hammer strike. ]

[ Moments later, Ilsa opens the door, with her left hand curled up against her shoulder. ]

Hey, Tarvek. I just didn't get my hand out of the way.
