Are they numb *all* the time, or does it come and go? Have the numb parts lost color or turned blue?

no--wait, now I'm doing it. heh

No-they haven't been blue from the ice. Just bright red & extremely painful. But yes, they are numb all the time.

Hmmm. I have no idea then (sorry). If the numbness came and went and if your fingers lost color, i'd have suggested that maybe you have raynaud's syndrome.
But yeah, it's probably from the ice. maybe you should try eating your ice with a spoon and see if that helps any?

Stop eating the ice!

No, but you could have reynauds syndrome. I have a mild form of it and my hands turn blue and red easily. But they never go numb.. :?

well, she's eating crushed ice, not big ol' cubes, so i think it's not out of the realm of possibilities.
