as far as counseling goes, i recommend the TTU psychology clinic. NOT the counseling center. payment is based on a sliding scale, which is nice (i think i paid like $6 per session). it's done by psych grad students, but i think they are better than an actual psychiatrist/psychologist because they are actually trying to learn.

nope, don't have to be a student.
if you end up going, make sure you tell them that you are going to paying for it (instead of your parent's) and then you get to pay the cheapest amount. and you also get a parking pass to park in the lot by the library, which is super nice (even though you are only supposed to use it when you have appts.)
and i guess my only other piece of advice to actually stick to it, or if you don't like the person, switch to another, not everyone clicks.. i stuck it out and it actually made a difference. a lot of people only go once or twice and just think its stupid.
